Please note that this grading is only a general definition of terrain difficulty.

Local snow and weather conditions influence this grading, which can vary accordingly. Essentially, this means that a two diamond run won't always stay a two diamond run, depending on local conditions. Other dangers, such as avalanches and crevasses, cannot be included in this grid, and always need to be considered for each run.
